Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of experience in MRI technology is required.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy is required, or the employee must be willing to continue formal education in this category within a designated time period.
  • The employee must complete 1-3 months of orientation or equivalent on-the-job training based on the existing skill set.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI Technology is required.
  • The employee must successfully complete an intravenous certification class approved by the institution within the 12-week probationary period.
  • The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • The employee must be able to communicate effectively with all age levels served within the scope of the position and assigned areas.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of duties related to MRI under the supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform MRI procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients' illnesses and injuries.
  • Provide care and ensure the safety of patients undergoing MRI procedures.
  • Use MRI equipment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment is preferred.
  • Experience with Synapse/PACS is preferred.
