Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven production experience (2+ years) as a DevOps/Systems/Infrastructure/SRE Engineer.
  • Minimum 7 years professional experience working in production environments.
  • 2+ years experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments, including experience with cluster provisioning, configuration, application deployments, Helm, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and orchestration systems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of cloud-native services (e.g., EKS, RDS, Lamda, ECR, IAM) and (e.g. OpenTofu, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, containerd, rkt) and container orchestration concepts (pod scheduling, service discovery, load balancing).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and collaboration tools (Gitlab, Azure Devops, Jira, Confluence, Slack).
  • Familiar with database and messaging systems. (e.g., MySql, PostsqesQL, SnowFlake, Redis, Kafka)
  • Solid understanding of networking principles, TCP/IP stack, and experience with software-defined networking (SDN) solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments to support containerized workloads.
  • Develop automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to streamline deployment processes.
  • Implement infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or similar tools to provision and manage cloud resources on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to containerize applications, optimize Docker images, define Helm charts, and Terraform for maintaining and configuring cloud deployments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
  • Implement auto scaling technologies, such as ASG, HPA, Karpenter, KubeRay.
  • Proactively monitor the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters and applications using monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
  • Implement security best practices and enforce policies for network segmentation, access control, and container runtime security to protect infrastructure and data.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in infrastructure, cloud computing, and containerization to propose innovative solutions and optimize infrastructure.
  • Identify issues and gaps, plan projects, and execute them effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, QA, and IT operations to align DevOps practices with business objectives and project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to members of the engineering team, and facilitate knowledge sharing through documentation and training sessions.
