Marcus Hotels and Theatres operates two main businesses: Marcus Theatres, a cinema circuit with Marcus Theatres, Movie Tavern, and BistroPlex venues, and Marcus Hotels & Resorts, which owns and manages hotels and resorts. The cinema division earns revenue from ticket sales and concessions and offers premium screens, DreamLounger recliner seating, and in-theatre dining. The hotel division earns revenue from rooms, food and beverage, and managing properties across eight states, often featuring branded restaurants, golf courses, and spas. The company differentiates itself through family leadership and a blended portfolio of historic and modern properties, with growth driven by acquisitions to expand in both entertainment and lodging.
