Position Overview:
We are seeking an Activities Director to plan, organize, and implement a diverse range of activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive activities program tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music therapy, games, outings, and special events.
- Collaborate with nursing and caregiving staff to ensure residents’ needs and preferences are met.
- Encourage resident participation and foster a sense of community and belonging.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and activity outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an activities director role, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and engage residents of varying abilities.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for enhancing the lives of seniors.
