Job Overview:

ModMed is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in machine learning, predictive analytics, and healthcare data. This individual will play a critical role in developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions to optimize healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. As part of our innovative team, you will work with large, complex datasets to build predictive models, uncover trends, and improve healthcare operations through data-driven insights. If you have a passion for leveraging data to solve complex healthcare challenges and are well-versed in the latest data science methodologies, we would love to hear from you.

 

Technical Expertise:

• Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
• Strong experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with big data platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or AWS/GCP.
• Experience working with healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR) and privacy standards (HIPAA) is a plus.

Machine Learning & Statistics: Expertise in building and deploying machine learning models, including classification, regression, and clustering techniques.  

 

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Generative AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in data science, Generative AI,  machine learning, or predictive modeling, preferably in healthcare or a similar data-rich domain.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred: Experience with healthcare-related analytics, including patient outcomes, clinical workflows, and operational efficiencies.
