Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A current Registered Nurse license or equivalent is required in the detailed education requirements.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience and/or 5 years of clinical education experience in the dialysis industry is required.
  • The candidate must maintain clinical competency through nephrology literature, meetings, products, services, and their clinical application.
  • The candidate must be located for easy and short travel to target accounts.
  • The candidate must reside within the assigned territory.
  • The candidate must be able to travel extensively, up to 85%, by automobile, train, or airplane, including overnight stays, and occasionally travel on weekends.
  • The role requires regular face-to-face customer contact across a large geographic area.
  • The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with assigned sales partners to develop customized product and therapy solutions, provide equipment and therapy training, and perform market development throughout the opportunity cycle.
  • Conduct prospecting and demand generation activities by serving as a therapy thought leader at clinical forums, scientific seminars, and other professional settings.
  • Build relationships with key influencers, including patient advocates, fellows, physicians, and nurses.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market dynamics, competitor information, and competitive advantages.
  • Advise patients by providing technical expertise, workflow understanding, and comprehensive therapy knowledge.
  • Partner with Value Streams to support commercialization and launch new products, assist with training and labeling, and deploy marketing programs.
  • Support development and deployment of training programs for patients, nurses, physicians, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate product and therapy features, connect them to customer and patient needs, and provide technical guidance for clinical and business initiatives.
  • Assess clinical environments and collaborate with staff to implement training and improvement plans that optimize patient outcomes, operational performance, and therapy adoption.
  • Apply therapy knowledge to provide insights on clinical outcomes, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assess facilities and implement training and continued-improvement plans using holistic account principles and business models.
  • Interact with and motivate nursing and ancillary staff, as well as mid-level and senior leadership, to accomplish common goals.
  • Mentor Clinical Educators to improve their knowledge base and facilitate the consultative process.
  • Assist with quality improvement and instruction on managing patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with area and regional account executives on strategic account planning and targeting and the allocation of nursing resources.
  • Train and motivate nursing staff to become successful trainers.
  • Train nursing staff on therapy concepts and practical applications.
  • Communicate national, regional, and facility regulations and policies.
  • Plan and implement basic and advanced regional educational sessions for nurses.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Registered Nurse qualification with a current RN license or equivalent is preferred in one education section.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • A Master of Business Administration is preferred.
