Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • At least 5 years of private equity fund accounting experience with closed-end fund structures is required.
  • Ability to work toward and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to manage complex accounting structures.
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, analytical, organizational, and technology skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to the audience and change tasks quickly as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
Responsibilities
  • Set up operational procedures and workflows.
  • Implement fund data using private equity software.
  • Maintain strong, consultative relationships with key clients.
  • Deliver client service obligations.
  • Review workpapers and financial statements.
  • Assist managers with training junior staff, setting up operational procedures and workflows, preparing capital call and distribution notices, calculating management fees and waterfalls.
  • Assist with year-end audit and tax processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • CPA, Master of Business Administration, or master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Previous experience leading people is a plus.
  • Experience with Allvue, Paxus, Geneva, Investran, eFront, or comparable technology is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with incentive fees, waterfall distributions, allocations, financial statements, or subsequent closes is a plus.
