Our office is located in Huntington Beach, and the role requires working in the office three days per week.

Job Summary

Arch Re Fac’s Underwriters are members of a team spanning the United States, Canada and Europe focused on developing strong, mutually-beneficial business relationships with primary insurance company underwriters. This position will require some domestic travel, approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

The Underwriters are responsible for developing client relationships and submission flow, as well as underwriting and negotiating the transactions. 

Education and Experience

• 3+ years property insurer or reinsurer underwriting experience

• Proven ability to work as part of a team

• Demonstrated customer-service focus coupled with strong negotiation skills

• Strong Property Underwriting Acumen including an understanding of cover age, risk hazards and policy forms

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Sound Computer/Technology skills

• Desire for continued learning

• Bachelor’s degree (ideally with a degree/major in Risk Management, Economics, or Business) or equivalent training required

• Additional industry-specific study and designations (such as CPCU, ARe) a plus

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$110,058 - $148,092/year

• Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
