Requirements
  • 10+ years experience in digital marketing roles within P&C (preferable) or Life Insurance as an operator and/or strategic advisor using modern technology stacks like Adobe Experience Cloud and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud and third-party insurance platforms (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek)
  • Track record leading Martech teams that have hands-on experience implementing Adobe Experience Platform Solutions (Real-Time CDP, Adobe Journey Optimizer or Customer Journey Analytics)
  • Experience advising C-suite leaders & partnering with CFO/COO Office on aligning and reallocating marketing & sales/field budgets towards high impact digital capabilities like agent portal modernization or a digital demand generation engine
  • Familiarity with AI-driven trends and use cases in Insurance across workflows including agent/broker ecosystems, field marketing, performance marketing/ data-driven marketing strategies, purchase and service experiences
  • Experience of leading transformations with strong results in areas like customer acquisition & engagement, agent channel management, claims processing/ policy management
  • Urgency to “put pen to paper” to define new ideas, validate them in the market, and communicate them through compelling thought leadership, operating models, and case studies
  • Extreme passion for solving customer problems at all stages of their lifecycle from pre-sales to adoption and value realization
  • Track record of anticipating disruptive market trends and rallying direct reports, cross-functional leaders & collaborators to take bold action
  • Established reputation for sharing insights through published content and public speaking

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance to clients (from C-level to practitioners) on how to plan and execute end-end digital transformation, with a focus with Insurance sub-vertical
  • Develop original thought leadership content on how companies should transform policyholder and agent journeys digitally or legacy system modernization, drawing from experience, research, and client engagement
  • Represent Adobe as an inspiring Insurance thought leader and speaker at Insurance industry events (e.g.InsureTech Connect) and contribute to publications like Digital Insurance
  • Refine Adobe’s internal insurance playbooks using hands-on operator experience, ensuring solutions address critical pain points (e.g., agent portal modernization, claims leakage reduction)

3D Scanning App Polycam Gets Backing From Youtube Co-Founder

Polycam, an app that uses a smartphone’s sensors to capture 3D scans of objects, is raising cash from prominent investors including Adobe and YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley.Polycam today announced that it closed an $18 million Series A round led by Left Lane Capital with participation from Adobe Ventures, Hurley and others. Chris Heinrich, Polycam’s co-founder and CEO, says that the capital will support new 3D editing and collaboration features, training AI models for rendering 3D objects and new market expansion.Polycam was founded in early 2021 by Heinrich and Elliott Spelman, who’d met while working together at Ubiquity6, a startup developing mobile 3D scanning and AR tech. Both Heinrich and Spelman believed that 3D capture, enabled by hardware like the lidar sensor on more recent iPhones, could unlock 3D content creation for the masses.“One of the challenges and opportunities of the 3D modeling space is that the core technology for 3D capture is far from perfect, and it’s not nearly as easy as snapping a photo with an iPhone,” Heinrich told TechCrunch in an email interview. “The good news is that advances in AI-driven 3D capture, when paired with the type of data that Polycam has in droves, are set to dramatically improve quality and ease-of-use over the next few years, which will unlock more use cases and increase adoption.”Polycam offers a suite of 3D capture and modeling tools, each designed to address a different use case.Image Credits: PolycamOn iPhones with a lidar sensor, Polycam can scan a user’s surroundings, like the rooms in their home, in 3D.
