Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
  • 6-9 years of experience in project analysis, project management, project oversight and coordination
  • Strong working knowledge of project management, collaboration and productivity and reporting tools/methodologies
  • Experienced and skilled in the use of planning and scheduling tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in dealing with clients, internal and external stakeholders, senior management and staff
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary, high-performing teams
  • A team player, collaborative and independently driven
  • Must demonstrate a flexible, open-minded attitude and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience effectively leading meetings and facilitating groups
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Program Schedulers and Program Analysts of various level of experience. Mentor and guide them to align their tasks to the program objectives.
  • Manage a team’s activities, resource allocation, and reviews.
  • Ability to analyze and assess IMS processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, ensuring projects align with Lightspeed business and engineering goals
  • Bring expert level experience in overseeing the development and maintenance of the Lightspeed Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) including conducting ongoing gaps analysis
  • Tracking the progress of each individual project and the Lightspeed IMS as a whole
  • Setting and clearly communication deadlines for specific tasks
  • Developing/maintaining the Lightspeed program plan and providing guidance to the segment project managers for their project plans
  • Reviewing documentation for project creation, development and implementation
  • Analyzing financial data
  • Distributing and allocating PMO resources
  • Calculating risk for each project
  • Producing financial reports and budget outlines
  • Creating reports for senior managers and stakeholders
  • Participate in strategic planning with regards to program development
  • Developing and maintaining existing procedures, checklists, and templates
  • Create and maintain Program communications to the full Lightspeed development team and senior management
Desired Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience working in an engineering environment in a management capacity, interfacing with Hardware, Systems, Software, and Test Engineers
  • Experienced and skilled in the use of Primavera as a scheduling tool
  • Experienced in the use of MS Project and Jira
  • Bilingual in English and French an asset (but not required)
