About the role

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a domain that spans multiple squads and own a team that includes both engineering managers and individual contributors. You’ll translate business goals into clear technical direction, shape roadmaps, and create an environment where high quality delivery and engineering excellence thrive. You’ll set the bar for culture, collaboration, and thoughtful trade-offs across growth, robustness/KTLO, and platform evolution.

This isn’t a role about keeping the trains on time. It’s about deciding where the tracks should go. You’ll take the reins of a multi-team group responsible for a core part of our product. Your mission is to shape this group into a world-class organization by setting a bold technical vision, developing the next generation of leaders, and taking complete ownership of results. What You'll Own & Drive

• You will lead a multi squad domain, managing both engineering managers and ICs with clear ownership and accountability.
• You will translate our company vision into a clear technical roadmap, making deliberate priority calls that balance immediate business needs with long-term architectural integrity.
• You will hire and develop exceptional talent, with a deep commitment to fostering a culture of continuous growth where every member of your organization is empowered to master their craft, deepen their influence, and maximize their impact.
• You will set the technical direction for your domain, championing best practices in security, testing, and observability to ensure your systems are scalable, compliant, and resilient.
• You will establish and refine your group's operating rhythms to ensure high-velocity, predictable delivery without compromising on quality or due diligence.
• You will forge strong partnerships with leaders across the business, ensuring your teams are delivering maximum impact for our customers.

What You'll Bring:

• You have 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and leadership, with a clear trajectory of taking on more complex challenges over time.
• You bring a minimum of 3+ years in direct people management, which must include a proven track record of successfully managing other Engineering Managers. You also have demonstrated experience in developing, recruiting, and mentoring top-tier senior talent.
• You have a strong technical background from your time as a hands-on Senior Engineer. While you won't be coding daily, you have the architectural depth to guide and challenge your most senior engineers.
• You have a history of thriving in environments that demand a high degree of precision and quality, such as fintech, healthcare, or other regulated industries, and are comfortable navigating compliance and security requirements.
• You are capable of both long-term strategic planning and short-term tactical execution, translating a high-level vision into a concrete roadmap and leading your teams to deliver against it predictably.
• You possess exceptional communication skills, capable of breaking through barriers and articulating complex technical ideas with clarity to any audience.
• You lead with a solid intellectual curiosity, a principled approach to decision making, and a relentless desire for excellence.
