Requirements
  • MD or DO with a minimum of two years of experience in Allergy.
  • Experience in food allergy, including food challenges.
  • Must be licensed in the state of the assigned clinic location as an MD or DO.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Allergy and Immunology.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to manually take patient vital signs.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in a difficult or emergent situation.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organization, effective time management, and strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage food and environmental allergy testing using percutaneous allergy skin testing and intracutaneous allergy testing.
  • Deliver quality patient care during assessment, physical examination, and treatment planning.
  • Diagnose or treat allergic or immunologic conditions.
  • Provide oral immunotherapy treatment.
  • Order or perform diagnostic tests, including skin prick, intradermal, and patch testing, as needed.
  • Administer subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy injections.
  • Conduct intake and assessment of new patients.
  • Request necessary history and treatment plans from outside providers when indicated.
  • Create a plan of care or treatment plan for new patients.
  • Provide direct patient care, including medical assessments and follow-ups.
  • Set an example of compassionate and knowledgeable medical care.
  • Stay current with developments in Allergy and Immunology and communicate relevant information to other providers in the center.
  • Oversee midlevel providers in practice.
  • Participate in meetings as appropriate or as requested by the medical director.
  • Manage an appropriate caseload and complete charting within 48 hours of each patient visit.
  • Collaborate with team members to diagnose, manage, and evolve patient care.
  • Travel to assigned sites.
  • Provide mentorship to clinical staff.
  • Develop relationships with referring medical providers and the local medical community.
  • Attend lunches and events with the assigned territory provider relationship representative to build credibility and market Aspire.
  • Adhere to standard metrics for testing, treatment, and immunotherapy conversion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
