The Regional Sales Director Canada is responsible for driving the company’s sales strategy, managing regional sales teams, and maintaining strong relationships with regional accounts within Global Auto operations. This position requires strong leadership skills to coach and develop Sales Managers and Business Development Managers while maintaining the company culture. The role involves analyzing sales performance, working closely with Business Development Managers and cross-functional teams, while ensuring effective customer service.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Coach and Develop Sales Teams: Guide and mentor Sales Managers and Business Development Managers, reinforcing company values and fostering a strong team culture. Assist in the recruitment and development of sales talent.
- Performance Analysis: Review sales performance on a regional and provincial territory basis. Communicate with regional teams to provide action plans or coaching where necessary to drive sales growth.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Product Development and Marketing teams to align sales efforts with product launches and marketing initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach to market expansion.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor the competitive landscape, identifying both strengths and weaknesses of key competitors. Use this information to adjust sales strategies and optimize performance.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Monitor and analyze regional and overall sales performance metrics, suggesting improvements to maximize revenue and efficiency.
- Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with large or regional accounts. Identify new opportunities for growth and ensure the successful negotiation and management of key partnerships.
- Sales Team Oversight: Lead sales Managers and business development Managers in negotiating and managing relationships. Track individual and team performance through specific KPIs.
- CRM System Monitoring: Ensure the sales team adheres to proper CRM system usage, maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of sales activities and performance.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain organized records of accounts and sales team performance. Ensure all sales-related documentation is complete and adheres to company standards.
- Company Representation: Present a positive and professional image of the company in all forms of communications, demonstrating alignment with company values and goals.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably managing a regional or national team.
- Automotive experience required.
- Strong coaching, training, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales documentation processes.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams.

Pay Range:
$101,100.00 - $166,700.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
