Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator
  • Experience with radio communication systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
  • Experience with network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu or Red Hat
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain an DoD 8570 IAT Level II networking Certification or DoD 8140 System Administrator (451) Certification within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
  • manage and maintain our IT infrastructure and radio communication systems
  • install, administer and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance
  • monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular updates and patches
  • manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings on Linux servers
  • configure and maintain radio communication systems, including hardware and software components
  • integrate radio technology with Linux-based systems for seamless operation and data flow
  • provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on Linux and radio technology matters
  • document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • collaborate with other IT and engineering teams to support project requirements and operational goals
