Requirements
  • A college or university degree in a related field is required.
  • Two to five years of work experience in a related job discipline is required.
  • A valid United States driver’s license is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Slate customer relationship management software is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills are preferred.
  • Customer service skills are preferred.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Manage an admissions portfolio and serve as the primary evaluator of applications for admission related to a specific subject area and/or territory.
  • Recruit and/or evaluate applicants for master’s admission by interviewing, reading applications, and summarizing evaluations, independently or with some guidance and instruction.
  • Conduct college and university visits, attend college fairs, and host presentations virtually or through travel.
  • Deliver information sessions and specialized presentations, and participate in virtual and on-campus events for prospective master’s students.
  • Own a special project in the office related to master’s admissions, such as working with current student employees, managing print and web publications, or coordinating in-person and virtual programming.
  • Maintain relationships with individuals involved in the recruitment process, including counseling students and parents regarding the admission process.
  • Respond to inquiries by phone and email while providing a positive experience for people interacting with the department.
  • Be available on weekends and evenings throughout the year for application review, travel, and admissions events.
  • Perform other related work as needed.
