At Helion, our fusion devices create and contain tritium.
As our Tritium Expert, you will have the opportunity to play a major role in Helion R&D efforts via far-reaching involvement in many projects like fuel injection, vacuum pumping, isotope purification, radiation safety, and tritium detection.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with tritium and designing systems that store and handle tritium. They will be highly detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of tritium radiation physics. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently.
Qualifications
- Expertise in working with tritium,
- Expertise in designing systems that interface with tritium,
- Experience with tritium regulations is a bonus, but not required,
About You:
- Problem Solver – you can identify areas for improvement and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Critical Thinker – you use reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, are skilled at assigning metrics to objectively evaluate options, and connect your work back to the application
- You can communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- 4+ years of work with tritium
Per Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act the range for this position is $120k - $210k. Actual salary is based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.
