Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required; four years of additional User Experience Design experience on similar projects may substitute for the degree.
  • Ten years of experience in User Experience Design.
  • Five years of experience within the last ten years leading project life-cycle design.
  • Three years of experience with screen mock-up tools such as PowerPoint, Visio, or Axure and related industry tools used to create visual displays and prototypes.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with an appropriate current polygraph is required.
  • Ability to receive privileged access rights.
Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, design, and development activities to create user experiences for devices, tools, and systems.
  • Establish interactive conventions, assist in gathering user requirements, mock up user experiences, participate in trade-off discussions with development teams and subject matter experts, analyze tool sets, create screen mock-ups, and help customers envision new interactive techniques and technologies.
  • Apply visualization and screen design expertise to create successful user experiences.
  • Operate in an agile development environment and deliver User Experience feedback weekly.
  • Conduct User Experience research and optimization.
  • Create final visual designs, storyboards, interaction flows, and interface guidelines.
  • Craft design solutions using a user-centered approach that meets user needs and product strategy requirements.
  • Work with Product Owners to rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions.
  • Review final implementations with front-end developers to ensure design standards are followed.
  • Work across teams and communicate with stakeholders across customer bases to provide inspiration and constructive feedback to other Designers.
  • Lead project life-cycle design, including interviewing customers, articulating customer requirements to the design team, creating visual designs and prototypes, presenting information to customers, and helping resolve questions and problems.
  • Manage several diverse engineering teams in conducting User Experience research and optimization.
