Job Description
Under the guidance of the Front of House Management Team, our Hosts play a key role in creating a memorable guest experience from the moment guests arrive. With professionalism and attention to detail, Hosts help ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment by managing guest flow, optimizing seating capacity, and communicating effectively with team members.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet every guest with a warm, welcoming presence—both in person and over the phone—even during the busiest times.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with Servers, Bartenders, and Managers to maintain steady and efficient guest flow throughout the restaurant.
- Escort guests to their tables while engaging in friendly and professional conversation.
- Take reservations accurately and efficiently, both over the phone and in person, with attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas—understanding that first impressions matter.
- Quickly become familiar with all table numbers and maintain awareness of seating arrangements and server sections.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications
- Proven prior restaurant experience
- Valid Smart Serve Certification Required
- High attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, restaurant experience considered an asset
- Flexibly availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
