Requirements
  • BA/BS in Information Technology or Computer Science or the equivalent
  • 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP IBP implementation and support projects
  • Strong knowledge of SAP IBP modules, functionalities, and best practices
  • Experience in IBP model configuration and configuration requirements around modules like Demand Planning, Time-Series Supply Planning, and S&OP
  • Understanding of SAP ECC Master & Transaction data objects that supports Planning
  • Knowledge of SAP PP, APO is a plus
  • Understanding of SAP integration technologies such as SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), SDI/RTI
  • Understanding of supply chain planning processes and familiarity with concepts such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain collaboration
  • Experience within a manufacturing/distribution environment in an IT development capacity
  • High energy, self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse remote teams, managing through a matrix structure, with strong analytical skills, process & project management, and team leadership and influencing skills
  • Agile methodology experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparation and delivery of executive-level presentations
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving and process management skills
  • Demonstrated tendency to challenge the status quo and drive constant improvement in process and ability to achieve organizational goals

Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in the full lifecycle implementation of SAP IBP projects, including gathering requirements, system design, configuration, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their supply chain planning needs and recommend IBP functionalities and solutions to address them
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP IBP applications, troubleshoot issues, and deliver enhancements and optimizations based on client feedback
  • Performs planning, analysis, designing, requirements definition, functional design, development, testing and implementation of IT solutions
  • Configure and customize SAP IBP modules, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, and Sales and Operations Planning, based on client requirements
  • Provides support, assistance, and training to users
  • Drives small to medium sized projects with planning, development, and implementation of system solutions
  • Simultaneously coordinates activities for multiple projects and activities
  • Effectively uses ITIL methodology in performing all tasks
  • Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues
  • Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems
  • Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Creates systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application developers
  • Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems
  • Conducts research on software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor

Owens & Minor names Darby Thompson VP of Strategic Business Development. April 7, 2026- Darby Thompson is joining Owens & Minor as Vice President (VP), Strategic Business Development and will report to Dean Huibregtse, Senior Vice President (SVP) Strategic Business Development. After working in various Commercial Account roles at Owens & Minor in the early 2000s, Darby went on to lead business development strategies in the industry and most recently served as the Director of Health System Strategy at Hanger Clinic.
