The Warranty Administrator is a critical position responsible for managing and processing warranty claims efficiently. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate documentation, timely submission of claims, and facilitating communication between the service department, manufacturers, and customers. The purpose of this position is to contribute to the overall efficiency of the service center, maximize warranty recovery, and uphold customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Review and process warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and policies
Ensure accurate documentation and completeness of all required information
Communicate effectively with manufacturers to submit warranty claims and obtain authorization
Follow up on pending claims and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain organized and accurate records of all warranty claims and related documentation
Generate reports on warranty claim status and recovery
Collaborate with service advisors to ensure accurate documentation of warranty-related repairs
Provide guidance on warranty processes and requirements
Verify that the parts and labor claimed in warranty submissions align with the service performed.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty terms
Maximize warranty recovery by identifying opportunities and addressing any issues affecting claim approval
Track and report on warranty recovery metrics
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years experience as a Warranty Clerk or in a similar role within the automotive industry
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework in automotive technology or warranty administration is a plus
Familiarity with warranty systems and processes
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Attention to detail in processing warranty claims
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with manufacturers and customers
Proficient in analyzing warranty data and identifying trends.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve warranty-related issues
Proficient in using warranty software and Microsoft Office applications
