We are looking for a Global Supply Manager (GSM) to support our Power Electronics spend. The Global Supply Manager manages all company business with a group of suppliers and is the main internal interface with Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Program Management, and Manufacturing Operations teams. The GSM develops a deep understanding of their components and assemblies and develops supplier alternatives who can supply those components most efficiently while considering landed costs.
You will be based in a Hybrid capacity at one of our San Francisco Bay Area offices and reporting to our Director, Global Supply Chain.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with existing and prospective Contract Manufacturers (CMs) for Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and production builds
- Continously identify component supplier alternatives to meet our increasing capacity needs for strategic items
- Collect the necessary data internally to effectively communicate externally via RFQs, review and analyze a potential supplier’s offerings and capabilities, and gather other commercial information that is material to sourcing decisions
- Collaborate with Engineering and Program Management on engineering development builds to ensure material and component availability
- Work with suppliers to ensure transparent cost breakdowns that are informed by their value-add processes
- Support supplier industrialization and supplier quality engineers during development and industrialization phases to validate production capacity
- Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers on General Terms & Conditions and Production Pricing Agreements
- Travel, as needed, to visit suppliers to perform business and program reviews (10-15%)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other related field
- 8+ years in purchasing, buying, or procurement in a technical environment
- Demonstrated experience making data-driven decisions with incomplete information
- Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities
- Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, Smartsheet, or similar analytical tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- 5+ years of electronics supply chain experience
- Product launch experience
- Previous work in a start-up environment
- Familiarity with IGBTs and high-power components
Compensation & Benefits
Global Supply Manager (P4): $137,000 - $182,000 per year

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
