Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in a position interacting with customers or patients, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A favorable background-check result as required by the state.
  • Proof of identity and the right to work in the United States.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • The ability to operate an auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • The ability to perform frequent walking, sitting, and standing, with regular bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong fine motor skills and full use of the hands.
  • Visual and auditory acuity, including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The ability to occasionally drive or climb when necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Total Patient Experience while providing medical support and building relationships with patients.
  • Determine patient wants and needs and sell products and services to exceed expectations.
  • Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and color, coordinating them with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
  • Educate patients and recommend lenses, lens coatings, and frames suited to their needs.
  • Accurately collect bridge, eye size, temple length, segment height, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and pantoscopic tilt measurements.
  • Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames.
  • Dispense glasses and contact lens orders using the current process.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous medical office experience.
  • Previous ophthalmic experience.
  • ABO certification.
  • NCLE certification.
