- Experience in steel service center order processing.
- Experience in quality inspection and use of quality tools.
- An associate or technical degree, or experience in the industry.
- Good computer and document-processing ability.
- Ability to work in an organized and detail-oriented manner.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements, quality management system requirements, and corporate policies.
- Perform inspections on outbound orders according to OPS-02, Order Processing and Final Inspection.
- Report deficiencies to the supervisor, management, and/or Quality department.
- Scan and email inspection reports resulting from order processing to the appropriate recipients, including Sales Assistants, Shipping, and Quality.
- Use quality instruments to verify material requirements.
- Maintain product traceability, including description, heat number, lot number, and serial number.
- Inspect machined parts requiring stringent straightness verification.
- Inspect material as required by operations.
- Manage the service and calibration of all inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
- Maintain the facility and support continual improvement.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
