Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training is required.
  • Five years of adult education experience is required unless substituted by an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • The ability to interact with faculty and staff as part of an interdisciplinary team is required.
  • Current knowledge of pedagogical issues related to education and technology is required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as project manager and oversee the development of instructional materials.
  • Supervise project staff when required.
  • Serve as liaison with outside agencies in the development of instructional materials.
  • Work with faculty to develop instructional materials for continuing education and graduate credit in face-to-face, web-based, and CD-ROM/DVD environments.
  • Research and develop case studies based on relevant subject matter or events for delivery using computer and distance learning technologies.
  • Collaborate with multimedia developers to develop instructional materials.
  • Assist faculty in integrating instructional technologies into their classrooms.
  • Conduct analysis of instructional and learning requirements and assist in developing plans and strategies to meet those requirements.
  • Assist in planning and implementing courses.
  • Provide training classes and workshops that give users support tools and functions.
  • Meet with faculty or subject matter experts to identify key learning objectives, help design course content, and make it available online.
  • Perform related responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience communicating and working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience working with Hispanic/Latinx ecclesial communities, including communities committed to theological education.
  • Experience in instructional design, training delivery, or learning consultation.
  • Experience with Canvas Learning Management System and Articulate Storyline.
