Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree program
  • Professional experience building APIs and applications in Python
  • Experience with GUI design and programming
  • Strong software engineering and testing skills including proficiency in API design
  • Ability to trouble-shoot with a high attention to detail and quality
  • Experience with systems programming in a UNIX / Linux environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience collaborating to deliver high-quality software
  • Proven track record to work with both technical and non-technical software users
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain robust pipeline software within a Linux environment
  • Build and support tools for testing, ensuring high-quality software through automated and manual tests
  • Develop user interfaces and frontend components as needed
  • Collaborate within a wider team consisting of Build and QA engineers, Designers, and Project Managers
  • Quickly respond and proactively investigate requests coming from users
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team meetings
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Animation or VFX pipelines
  • Knowledge of Pixar’s OpenUSD (Open Universal Scene Description)
  • Experience with writing, building, and debugging C++ applications
  • Familiarity with build automation tools and continuous integration systems
  • Experience with version control systems (Git/GitLab)
  • Previous experience working with Docker, Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms
