  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure installation.
  • Must have 3 years of experience with wiring and cabling.
  • Must have a technical or mechanical aptitude and experience.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, including punch tools, test equipment, hammer drills, and saws.
  • Must be able to differentiate color for termination color coding.
  • Must be able to read construction drawings and other project documents.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and in team environments.
  • Must be able to stay on their feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in high spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • A clean driving record is required, and the candidate must provide a Department of Motor Vehicles record upon offer of employment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Crew Leader, Senior Cable Installers, and Technicians with the successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Install cabling and associated infrastructure.
  • Perform cable terminations, pulling, and testing.
  • Effectively use work scheduling to maximize crew efficiency.
  • Understand the facets involved in current installation procedures.
  • Participate in proposal support functions when requested due to expertise.
  • Work primarily in professional office and construction environments, indoors 90% of the time.
  • Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with evening and weekend hours as required by business needs.
  • Travel primarily locally during the business day, with approximately 10% out-of-area and overnight travel potentially required.
