Requirements
  • A current Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant license, or enrollment in an Airframe and Powerplant program while working toward the license.
  • Candidates must provide their own tools; the University will provide specialty tools for specific jobs.
  • Willingness to assist with lawn care, snow removal, and other routine tasks supporting flight school operations.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and service Utah State University flight training aircraft, including Diamond DA40F and DA42 airplanes with 2-liter engines.
  • Assist in maintaining shop equipment, buildings, and related areas supporting flight school operations.
  • Assist the Chief of Maintenance with tasks related to airworthiness.
Desired Qualifications
  • A two-year or four-year degree.
  • Two years of aircraft maintenance experience working on Diamond DA40F and DA42 airplanes with 2-liter engines.
