Requirements
  • At least five (5) years of experience developing multi-tiered, efficient, highly responsive web applications.
  • Candidates must possess solid work experience in client-side browser-centric or middle-tier/back-end service development.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and event-driven models utilizing RabbitMQ and Kafka.
  • Experience with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing strategies, replication, and performance optimization for large datasets.
  • A bachelor's degree in a science-related field of study from an accredited institution is required. In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required, in addition to the minimum experience requirement.
  • Knowledge of the server-side development stack utilizing .NET, C#, and SQL Server.
  • Ability to design and implement complex, scalable, and maintainable enterprise solutions using .NET and modern architectural patterns.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployment processes.
  • Ability to utilize REST and SOAP web services.
  • Expertise in .NET Core and .NET Framework using C#, including asynchronous programming, dependency injection, design patterns, REST API development, and message bus technologies.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven models utilizing RabbitMQ and Kafka.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB, including schema design, indexing strategies, replication, and performance optimization for large datasets.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in application development and data handling.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, deployment strategies, scaling, and monitoring in cloud-native environments.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Material Design, AngularJS or Angular, CSS frameworks, Node.js, and .NET Core web servers, including bundling and packaging of client-side solutions.
  • Expert-level SQL development and SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, stored procedures, performance tuning, T-SQL, data governance, and indexing strategies.
  • Advanced SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) package design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in a team, mentor junior developers, perform code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and frameworks and remain aligned with evolving project needs.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive solutions independently.
Responsibilities
  • Gather project requirements and document business solutions.
  • Execute the full lifecycle of software development using Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Create well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
  • Assist in generating test cases for new and existing applications.
  • Design, develop, and implement software independently or within a team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on key business projects.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Analyze software errors and create tools to help mitigate problems.
  • Train team members in coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute ideas for improving development workflows.
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct system tests before releasing software.
  • Perform other duties required to support Health Plan operations and department business needs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external business entities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience configuring IIS, NGINX, and PHP web servers, Docker containers, PHP, and Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, Debian, or Alpine.
  • Experience integrating data across systems, including APIs, flat files, cloud storage, and HDFS.
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare domain.
  • Knowledge of the EDI 834 message format.
  • Familiarity with data exchange standards such as HL7, FHIR, and CCDA.
  • Knowledge of Python.
