Requirements
  • 3- 5 years of cloud software deployment experience (internal or external) across various technologies with Windows and non-Windows administration.
  • Experience in a client facing role with ability to make recommendations on a network.
  • Ability to help customers troubleshoot in their environments.
  • An expert understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) including technology, standards, and implementations.
  • Experience implementing multi-tier PKI solutions for enterprise customers including design, implementation, and support.
  • Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and Hashicorp Vault (or similar DevOps tools)
  • Direct working experience with cloud technologies (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • IT system administration experience (systems management, networks, firewalls) in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with user directory technologies for authentication (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Direct experience with Unix and Linux configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with technologies that heavily use TLS/SSL encryption (e.g., F5, Netscaler, IIS, Apache, WebLogic, WebSphere, etc.) desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with server virtualization technologies (VMWare, HyperV)
  • Database administration (MSSQL) experience, especially installation, configuration, and management.
  • A working understanding of ITIL processes and systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience and comfort working with sales, customers, and client end-user groups in high-pressure situations.
  • Able to prioritize and effectively manage several ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to identify potential issues early and escalate to management as appropriate.
  • Sense of urgency, self-managed, and goal-oriented attitude.
  • Proven technical troubleshooting ability.
  • Patience and listening skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Willingness to travel 30% within US and Canada, International travel a possibility.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding Machine Identity Protection using the Venafi Protect DataCenter and TLS Protect Cloud Platform for customers and internal teams.
  • Lead the design, strategy, and adoption of Venafi products in customer environments.
  • Identify and document best-practices, especially in areas of expertise regarding DevOps and Cloud integrations.
  • Identify and design repeatable designs for deployments of Venafi Protect DataCenter and TLS Protect Cloud Platform.
  • Work closely with customers, sales, Venafi project managers, and architects to ensure solutions meet customers' needs, keeping all parties up to date on progress and any issues that are encountered.
  • Work closely with Venafi customer support and customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers at all levels.
  • Work with Venafi Product Management to ensure through feedback that Venafi products are increasingly easier to use and deploy for customers.
