Sr. Engineering Operations Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and enhance tools and processes to increase efficiencies and overall yield improvements in engineering productivity.
• Administer engineering tools such as Jira, Git, GitHub Enterprise, Git, Jira, etc.
• Participate in leading our software release engineering processes.
• Be able to think outside the box and from a customer’s perspective on how to improve existing processes and come up with innovative solutions to challenges.
• Ensure continuous compliance with ISO standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, etc.
• Help evaluate, configure, operate, and maintain engineering applications, tools and utilities.
• Create documentation and reports.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, sharing best practices and guiding them in their professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, or other related fields with 10+ years of working experience in EngOps/DevOps/IT, networking, cybersecurity, or a similar field.
• Proficient in Linux system administration.
• Proficient in Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages, with the focus on automation.
• Excellent knowledge of git and branching strategies.
• GitHub Enterprise administration
• Jira administration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with application-level virtualization through tools like Docker.
• Familiarity with test case and requirement management tools, such as Testrail, Jama, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving, technical, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with ISO27001 and ISO9001.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of virtualization via hypervisors such as KVM, VMWare, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
