Requirements
  • A GED or high school diploma is required.
  • A valid Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • An Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card is required; the employer will assist with obtaining one after offer acceptance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Welcome, schedule, and check in patients while providing customer service throughout the process.
  • Promptly answer and return phone calls.
  • Schedule appointments in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Ensure patient forms, pre-visit screeners, consent packets, and demographic and insurance information are accurately completed and uploaded into the electronic medical record system.
  • Collect co-payments, deductibles, and handle other required financial transactions.
  • Complete document scanning on the same business day documents are received.
  • Meet or exceed department metrics for outreach and scheduling activities.
  • Assist in preparing reports for tracking performance.
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion during patient interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certification or an associate degree in a health-related field is preferred.
  • At least six months of professional experience in a similar role, such as customer service or medical front office, is preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic record-keeping systems, including electronic medical records, billing software, insurance carrier portals, and spreadsheets, is preferred.
  • Bilingual capabilities are preferred.
