- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license and driving record that aligns with the company's safety standards are required.
- Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
- One year of applicable experience in at least one of these skill sets: commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot equipment.
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to perform repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and ladder climbing.
- Ability to work in high-temperature environments and around hot grease.
- Ability to meet on-call requirements.
- Properly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
- Communicate repair status updates with customers and the branch office.
- Communicate parts orders with the branch office.
- Complete service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
- Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
- Maintain the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to company standards and safety requirements.
- Travel extensively each day to work-site locations.
- Participate in an on-call weekend rotation.
- Automotive, electrical, installation, or mechanical background.
- Journeyman license.
- CFESA certification.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good driving record.
