Portal.io officially announced that it has partnered with Wesco International (NYSE: WCC), a FORTUNE 500 company and a provider of communications and security distribution solutions. Portal.io said that the partnership brings its sales platform to professional security integrators across North America, giving Wesco dealers access to Portal's managed product catalog and sales tools, including the AI Proposal Builder. WESCO reported second quarter results that exceeded analyst expectations, with revenue up 13% year-on-year to $6.67 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $4.57, beating estimates by 15.2%. The electrical supply company credited strong demand for data center solutions, which now account for over 20% of revenue and grew approximately 45% year-on-year. WESCO also secured a significant multiyear grid services contract with a major data center customer. The company posted record backlog for the third consecutive quarter, up 60% year-on-year. WESCO closed its acquisition of Singapore-based Newark Engineering, strengthening its cooling solutions capabilities in Southeast Asia. Management raised full-year guidance for sales, adjusted EBITDA, and earnings per share, citing accelerating demand across data center infrastructure, grid services, and infrastructure investments.
