The selected candidate will perform the Communications Systems and Mission Payload Section Manager role, which is a dual-hat Engineering Manager responsible for both section management (15 - 20% of time) and existing program responsibilities (80% or more of time). Along with reporting into a program, the Section Manager is also a member of the Communications Systems Mission Payload (CSMP) Engineering (SE) organization with responsibilities to perform resource planning and staffing; employee engagement, staff development, including skills training and career support; performance management, including employee goal setting, quarterly reviews, and issues resolution. The Section Manager is also responsible for the deployment, measurement, and improvement of tailored, lean SE processes and procedures and supporting product cost reduction strategies. The Section Manager will be a functional management point of contact at the work site for one of the Communication Systems & Mission Payload Departments and will support and implement activities supporting departmental initiatives, reporting directly to a Communications Systems & Mission Payload Department Manager. Sections will have up to 15 people. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 8+ years of engineering experience OR
- Master’s Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6+ years of engineering experience
- Active DoD Top Secret and/or SCI clearance required.
- Prior experience as a manager or a team lead.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MSEE with emphasis in Communication Systems or Signal Processing
Salary Range: $156,500.00 - $234,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
