We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our team and help us revolutionize the way people move around cities. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to design and build the core technology that powers our fleet of connected vehicles. With our rapid global expansion, you’ll play a vital role in crafting backend systems that can process requests from our IoT devices and consumer-facing apps. You will also have the chance to improve our suite of operational tools that enable our distributed workforce to charge, deploy, and maintain our electric vehicles. And the best part? What You’ll Do:
- Identify, define, and solve strategically essential technical problems, including architecting and building highly scalable foundational platforms, leading new product initiatives, and revamping core application experiences.
- Involve in the cross-functional collaboration with PMs, Engineers, Design, Data Scientists, Research, and Operations teams.
- Design and build scalable solutions to handle the problems facing micro-mobility tomorrow.
- Design and build high quality solutions to enable cities to have a good experience with Lime and for Lime and riders to have a safe experience with cities.
- Participate, Ideate, develop and shape the future of micro-mobility as we and our industry ventures into new markets and city regulations.
About You:
- 5+ years of industry professional software development experience and a track record of building impactful products or systems.
- 2+ years of experience coding in Ruby on Rails preferred.
- Data driven. You have a strong data insight and rely on data to make decisions.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $121,000.00 to $159,000.00. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience and other qualifications as well as the candidate’s location of residence. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
