A Better Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Designer with a strong foundation in performance/growth marketing, advertising, and multimedia design. In this role, you will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Communications and Growth, ensuring projects are executed with exceptional craftsmanship and agility. As a key player in shaping the future of design at Better, you’ll drive both strategy and execution from concept through final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of innovative, compelling narratives and campaigns that drive both business and brand impact, ensuring they align with the company’s growth and performance goals.
- Foster creativity and mentor cross-functional teams, inspiring individuals at all levels to deliver their best work, continuing the collaborative environment that has been a hallmark of Better’s design team.
- Oversee both templated (iterative) and original creative concepts within brand guidelines, collaborating with copywriters, motion designers, and other stakeholders through a performance marketing lens.
- Contribute to the development of digital and marketing strategies, working closely with leadership to define the direction for Better’s creative efforts.
- Translate complex project discussions into compelling visual messages that resonate with audiences across platforms.
- Prototype ideas using tools like After Effects, Principle, or Figma to ensure innovative concepts are brought to life effectively.
- Build upon existing structures while exploring new ways to engage audiences, drawing from modern production and storytelling techniques.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of visual design experience in agency or in-house creative teams, with proven experience managing projects that blend creative direction with performance marketing.
- A portfolio showcasing high-level creative solutions across platforms, including OOH, digital campaigns, emails, and web design, similar to past successful work for brands like Nike, Coca-Cola, and KFC.
- A strong understanding of typography, visual hierarchy, and composition with the ability to lead multiple creative projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading creative teams, with a focus on mentorship and fostering a culture of collaborative innovation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies effectively to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in resolving creative challenges and keeping teams motivated.
