Position Title:  Senior Manager, Supply Chain    

Department:  Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) and Quality             

Reports To (title):  Director, Supply Chain

Location:  King of Prussia, PA (hybrid work environment)

Summary of Position:

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is responsible in assisting operations planning and tactical execution for Paratek’s supply chain.  The position will manage procurement of raw materials, components, CMO manufacturing services, supplies, finished goods and related materials through the sales and operations plan (S&OP) and ensuring flawless execution of the operational plan.  This includes responsibility to support creation of the supply plan, support development of the materials requirement plan, placing purchase orders for supply operations team (including logistics and distribution), inventory management and operational schedules at our CMOs.  This role will support driving continuous improvement and business results through data analytics and supply chain operational methods and tools. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Supports Operational Plans and Execution
  • Manages appropriate supply planning tools (production planning and inventory management) with collaborative solutions in place for all CMOs in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintains S&OP planning tool and coordinates supply plan for global CMO and distribution network.
  • Develops the materials requirement plan, inventory plan and operational schedules for execution with our supply chain partners and in concert with the Demand Plan.
  • Executes CMO operational, manufacturing and logistical plans in close coordination with Director, Supply Chain to deliver optimal business results
  • Recommends data analysis and metrics for use at monthly S&OP meetings
  • In partnership with Finance ensures compliance with inventory management and reporting standards throughout the supply and distribution network.
  • Assist with preparation of data for use at CMO business reviews and strategy meetings
• Manages intermediate and finished goods inventory at Paratek CMOs including supporting inventory and manufacturing transactions in company’s ERP system (NetSuite).
• Analyzes operating data to meet the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and align with supply plan and contractual requirements.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements for supply chain execution.
• As part of the Strategic and Tactical Business Planning cycles prepares supply scenarios based on Commercial Sales Plans.
• Manage purchasing requirements for supply operations team including requisition management, order placement and goods receipt at CMOs.
• Follows up on orders placed, verifies delivery, resolves payment issues and maintains necessary records or material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s)
• Coordinates supply and distribution plan for materials and logistical movements throughout Paratek’s supply chain network
  • Manage shipments – Provide shipping instructions to vendors, work with carriers to resolve delays, ensure proper delivery
  • Assist in expediting shipments, customs release, and creating End Use Letters for both clinical and commercial supply chain needs.
  • Coordinates with Finance for provision of monthly/quarterly info for VAT recovery process

 Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering or related discipline. Advanced degree:  MBA or MS a plus.
• Minimum five years of operations planning experience preferred in pharmaceuticals, biologics or bio-pharmaceutical industries
• Direct experience maintaining an ERP system. Prior experience with ERP solutions required. NetSuite preferred.

• Minimum two years of experience in planning virtual supply chains for supply of clinical and/or commercial pharmaceutical materials

• Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a small company structure.
• Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills across functional, geographical and cultural boundaries
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment in interacting with cross-functional teams, CMOs and suppliers
• Proficiency in planning and complex problem solving

 Additional Information:

• Technology needs: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Access, proficiency in operational planning and procure to pay systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Ability to travel as required, 10-15% (Domestic and international)
