Requirements
  • 3-5 years of production experience within a news media outlet, digital media outlet preferred
  • Strong storyteller with a proven track record of deep reporting and high-quality, original field production
  • Experience writing scripts and headlines, and packaging shows
  • Ability to collaborate with newsroom leaders and reporters
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities across multiple projects
  • Adept with studio lighting setups as well as field shoots, preferably with both Sony and Canon cameras
  • Expert skill level of Adobe Suite, specifically with a high level of expertise in Premiere and basic knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
Responsibilities
  • Pitch, develop, research, report and write original videos
  • Shoot and edit videos in-studio and in the field
  • Manage multiple stories in various stages of production
  • Find creative ways to develop stories from the various places Fortune produces its journalism, including conferences
  • Oversee day-to-day story elements, including planning, scripting, production, and budgeting
  • Package content across Fortune’s numerous distribution channels
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
