Requirements

  • Candidates must have a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and reliable and prompt attendance.
  • Candidates must be capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
  • Candidates must remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver guest-experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers Target’s guest-experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Observe team members, provide feedback, hold them accountable, and recognize strong guest-experience performance.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action, align the team on behaviors and execution, celebrate wins, and improve results and guest experience.
  • Lead a team of Guest Advocates, Service Advocates, and Front of Store Attendants to exceed guest-service expectations.
  • Lead onboarding and learning best practices, and help close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • Understand sales goals, business reporting, and guest insights to plan and execute daily and weekly workloads and deliver store sales and guest-engagement goals.
  • Support Target loyalty programs by ensuring the team educates guests about benefits, features, and offerings.
  • Follow up on training completion, check for understanding, and support continuous education opportunities for front-of-store experiences.
  • Conduct meaningful development conversations throughout team members’ career paths.
  • Personalize team recognition and appreciation to reinforce guest-service behaviors and promote a positive team- and guest-centric culture.
  • Help lead accountability through clear expectations and performance management, including listening, observing, recognizing, and coaching.
  • Respond to guest concerns by de-escalating situations and ensuring the team can resolve or address issues.
  • Ensure team members stay current on major promotions, brand launches, and events.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
  • Support and enable team members to deliver pickup and Drive Up orders, including Drive Up returns and Starbucks, efficiently and accurately while following applicable adult-beverage laws.
  • Lead ethical conduct and compliance and hold team members accountable.
  • Lead safety culture by modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, correcting hazards, holding the team accountable to safety expectations, assisting with incident response, and reporting and investigating injuries accurately and promptly.
  • Model physical-security processes to enhance the in-store security culture.
  • Support merchandise-protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application.
  • Follow safe-and-secure training and processes as a key carrier, when applicable.
  • Occasionally assume store-level Leader on Duty responsibilities during assigned shifts.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.

  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
