  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have active DoD Secret clearance.
  • BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with no less than 15 years of Navy shipboard experience.
  • Must understand US Navy ship requirements in cybersecurity and architectures of communications.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical analysis, requirements and shipboard networks for interior communication designs.
  • Ability to manage technical requirements for interior communications shipboard operational testing.
  • Must be able to advise on risks, corrective actions and cybersecurity for shipboard communication networks.
  • Must be able to perform duties independently.
Responsibilities
  • Write analysis reports on interior communications for surface ship platforms.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for ship interior communications.
  • Provide cybersecurity strategies for ship interior communication systems.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, field engineers, and industry partners in solving highly technical problems to meet ship operational requirements and needs.
  • Provide technical oversight for efforts on IC shipboard systems to include telephone, sound-powered telephone, announcing systems, wireless communication systems, video, and air traffic control systems.
  • Use engineering knowledge and methods to design, support, and repair technological tools and shipboard interior communication systems.
  • Use advanced techniques, theories, and processes to complete work.
  • Analyze user needs; build, modify, install, and tests products.
  • Troubleshoot errors or malfunctions.
  • Create, distribute, and maintain shipboard technical manuals and operational requirement documents.
  • Interact and work with senior management.
