Requirements
  • Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred, although entry-level experience may be accepted with training provided.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills, primarily Microsoft Excel, are required.
  • Basic measurement and math skills and knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring instruments are required.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Candidates must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting throughout the shift.
  • Candidates must be capable of repetitively lifting 25–50 pounds.
  • Candidates must maintain regular attendance and have reliable transportation.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays.
  • Candidates must wear steel-toe shoes or boots.
  • Candidates must follow plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures and use personal protective equipment when required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, building pallets and crates, and packaging materials for shipping.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory, including checking stock levels, anticipating supply needs, placing and expediting supply orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
  • Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials for kitting.
  • Package, secure, and load products.
  • Track and prepare product documents while monitoring database activity for inventory.
  • Communicate with vendors verbally and in writing when necessary.
  • Maintain organized dock and storage facilities; receive, unpack, and deliver goods; restock items; and label shelves.
  • Maintain documentation supporting shipping and inventory activity.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements.
  • Support all departments with inventory needs.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
Desired Qualifications
  • Blueprint reading knowledge is preferred.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience is preferred, although in-house training is available.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Technical or vocational education or training related to the listed skills is desirable.
  • Ability to work with others and independently is desired.
  • A high sense of urgency and attention to detail regarding material defects, quality issues, and inventory levels are desired.

Daifuku said first-half net income rose 15% to 43.1 billion yen as sales grew 8.9% to 355.5 billion yen. Off the back of that, it raised its forecast for the year ending December 31st to 86.5 billion yen of net income and 735 billion yen of sales, up from 80 billion yen and 700 billion yen. It also lifted its basic earnings per share forecast to 233.55 yen and reiterated it expects to pay 90 yen per share in dividends for the year. Japanese company Daifuku has acquired 100% of shares in Eisenmann GmbH from current shareholder Nimbus Hands-on Investors. The acquisition strengthens Daifuku's manufacturing systems business for the automotive industry, particularly in painting and surface treatment. Eisenmann specialises in innovative automation technologies and sustainable solutions for painting and final assembly, primarily serving European automotive and industrial component manufacturers. Daifuku operates production and sales bases across 24 countries, with automobile production line systems forming a core business. The acquisition enables Daifuku to offer more comprehensive coverage in automotive and industrial manufacturing, from quotation through to after-sales support, tailored to European standards.
