  • A team player! This position is demanding and requires a lot of attention to detail and hard work. Having the best attitude while working with your teammates is a must
  • Work quickly under pressure and is a good listener to directions given by the supervisor
  • We ask that all employees interact professionally with staff, supervisors, and any fan at the ballpark
  • Ability to commit to the Grounds Crew schedule which includes: Nights, weekends, holidays, game and non-game day. We also ask that you have the ability to work entire events including pre and post-game/event actives, which can be up to 7 hours
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak and comprehend English
  • Must be able to lift, carry and transport large boxes and items in excess of 50 pounds while running
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
  • Meet department productivity standards
Responsibilities
  • Prepping the field for games and various events
  • Dragging the infield during games in between innings
  • Collaborating with other crew members to pull the tarp for inclement weather
  • Setting up and breaking down batting practice equipment
  • Hand watering the dirt and the gras and any other areas necessary
  • Field maintenance (mound/plate/infield skin clay work)
  • Aeration of the grass
  • Extra event work can include concerts, football, hockey, softball and others
