Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Business Intelligence Analyst III to play a critical role in driving our data-driven decision-making processes. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for overseeing and analyzing the company’s Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) metrics, ensuring that the organization has a comprehensive and accurate understanding of its revenue dynamics. The incumbent will report out results to leaders, including drivers of change and innovative ways of portraying the data, to understanding the business processes that drive results. The role will manage the usage of this data across the company, and where necessary recommend business process changes to enhance the clarity and accuracy of the data. The position will also be responsible for supporting the Finance team in areas like budgeting & planning, assisting the internal team in visualizing financial results for leaders to better understand. Ongoing, this role will leverage their analytical and visualization skills to improve internal processes through data and visualization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ARR Analysis and Reporting: Lead the maintenance and reporting of ARR metrics and provide actionable insights.
Understand, break down, and explain the various components contributing to ARR including new business, renewals, expansions, contractions, and churn. Ensure that data sources feeding into ARR metrics are accurate and reliable. Data Management: Collaborate with various teams to ensure data integrity and consistency across the company’s data infrastructure.
Identify data discrepancies and anomalies, and work with appropriate departments to rectify them.
Forecasting and Predictive Analysis: Utilize statistical tools and techniques to predict future ARR trends.
Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to align forecasts and provide insights into potential risks and opportunities.
Visualization and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate ARR performance and trends to key stakeholders.
Ensure that leadership is regularly updated on the state of ARR and any underlying trends or concerns.
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to the data collection, analysis, and reporting processes related to ARR. Stay updated with the latest BI tools and technologies and recommend any that can benefit the organization.
Collaboration: Work closely with departments like Sales, Finance, and IT to ensure alignment on data sources, metrics definitions, and reporting requirements.
Serve as a knowledge resource for ARR, providing training and support to other team members as needed. · Collaborate with the Enterprise Data & Analytics Team (EDA), and other Business Intelligence resources on best practices, data usage, and enhancing data informed decisions within the business.
Educate non-financial stakeholders on reports, dashboards and how to interpret them.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge: · Business Intelligence Tools: Proficient in tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms for data visualization and reporting.
Database and Query Languages: Knowledge of Snowflake, and SQL commands to manipulate and extract data.
CRM Tool knowledge: Understand of Salesforce or other related CRM types of tools for analysis on customer ARR results.
Statistical Analysis: Understanding of statistical methods and predictive modeling techniques.
Data Warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics, particularly SaaS metrics like ARR, MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), churn rate, customer lifetime value (CLV), etc.
Data Privacy and Security: Awareness of data privacy standards and best practices in handling sensitive financial data.
Skills: Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and rectify discrepancies in data.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present data-driven insights to stakeholders at various levels.
Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
Project Management: Ability to manage projects, often with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
Master’s degree is Optional
6+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role. Training or certification in BI tools like Tableau or Power BI
Training in database management, warehousing technologies, and SQL for data manipulation
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
Understanding of key financial metrics like ARR, MRR, churn rate, and customer lifetime value
