Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is required, or the candidate must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
  • The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • The candidate must hold a New York Registered Nurse license and registration.
  • The candidate must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications; Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be attained within six months of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Float between various nursing units throughout the hospital based on need.
  • Assess and monitor patients, administer medication, document progress, and manage care for the patient population on the nursing unit.
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team, including attending physicians, Registered Nurses, and ancillary staff, to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of acute-care hospital-based Registered Nurse experience.
