  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid automobile operator's license.
  • An active state resident life insurance license.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills to interact effectively with staff, members, and insureds.
  • The ability to cultivate relationships with peers and staff and educate staff to make referrals to life insurance.
  • Computer skills in basic software applications and business applications specific to life insurance.
Responsibilities
  • Maximize life insurance market penetration with current members and property/casualty insureds while identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Maintain high-quality production and persistency standards to support profitable growth.
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities within the community.
  • Complete required financial, activity, and sales reporting using the company-approved sales process.
  • Provide life-sales support and training on lead development and identification to frontline employees, property/casualty insurance sales agents, and other staff who interact with members or insureds.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with frontline employees, sales agents, and branch management.
  • Notify agents promptly of results from referred leads.
  • Provide leads from life-insurance insureds and other calls to sales agents for membership, auto, homeowners, and travel insurance products and services.
  • Stay informed about changes and developments in policies and external practices.
  • Attend meetings to obtain information, provide input, maintain communication, stay updated, and offer sales ideas.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge and continuing education for licensure.
  • Develop an annual business plan with input from the Life Sales Manager to meet goals and define responsibilities, including new-business life sales, quality standards, and customer relationships.
  • Review business-plan objectives and reassess strategies to align performance with annual sales goals.
  • Ensure compliance with NCNU, AAA Life, and external regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in selling life insurance and annuities, including developing, tracking, and following up on leads.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and life-product-line illustrations, features, and benefits.
  • Demonstrated prospecting and lead-generation skills.
  • Bilingual communication skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in life insurance and/or annuity sales.
  • Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, and/or Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designations.
