Job Summary:
Vanderbilt Hospital is expanding! We are hiring an experienced RN Circulator for endovascular and open vascular procedures as part of this expansion.

In this role, you will operate as an RN Circulator and patient advocate for individuals undergoing various endovascular and open vascular procedures.
SHIFTS
Three 12-hour shifts each week. Shifts will be scheduled in the Monday-Friday range. Late Stay.
$25,000 Sign On Bonus for Candidates with 1 or More Years of Circulator RN Experience*
*The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. The sign-on bonus is only available for full-time positions.”

REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 years of RN endovascular and open vascular circulator experience highly preferred
- Be willing to learn to scrub
- Nursing degree
- TN RN or Compact License (TN license within 60 days of getting TN address even if compact license)
DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The environment in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) is friendly, patient-centered, and collaborative with the other members of the interdisciplinary surgical team. Here you will care for adult patients who are being treated for cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, and peripheral vascular disease as well as heart transplants. The patient population is unique because these are high acuity patients, often turned down for surgery at other medical centers.
One of the perks of working in this area is gaining world-class experience in a vast array of surgical interventions. RN Circulators in this area are successful because they have initiative, critical thinking skills, and care deeply for patients. Orientation uses didactic learning and simulation-based training to enhance the preceptorship experience and provide each nurse a safe space for learning.

Conducts primary care patient interviews and physical examinations. Demonstrates sufficient acumen to recognize problems, ask questions and to contact the patient’s primary care provider and other members of the healthcare team. Has experience in gathering pertinent clinical data that aid in referral, treatment, or other primary care pathways.
