As one of the first members of Column’s Growth team, your mandate is to oversee all aspects of our customer relationships, acting as a trusted partner, advisor, and advocate for them. While leading an exceptional experience for Column’s customers, you’ll also invest in designing the processes and content to will help us scale this key function. You’ll work closely with Column’s Solutions Engineering, Sales, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure customers are onboarded smoothly, that any issues are addressed thoughtfully and holistically, and that customers want to grow and expand with Column. To be successful, you’ll need strong customer-facing skills, top notch project management abilities, knowledge of (or an appetite to learn) the financial technology space, and a desire to become an expert on how companies partner with Column. This role reports to the Head of Go-To-Market and is an in-person role, where you’ll be expected to work out of our San Francisco Presidio-based office 3+ days a week.
What you’ll do
Manage all aspects of a customer’s relationship with Column, from onboarding and implementation to ongoing management and expansion of the account
Build and nurture relationships across various functions within a customer’s organization, identifying and creating advocates wherever you go, and helping find new use cases for partnering with Column
Proactively identify challenges and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions in order to move the relationship forward
Help establish our customer-facing processes, playbooks, systems and best practices. Identify patterns and opportunities for repeatability
Share key findings and recommendations on market feedback and trends to inform Column’s growth strategy
Perform day-to-day activities consistent with safe and sound business practices and regulatory requirements
What you’ll need to be successful
2+ years of sales, account management/customer success, or consulting experience, ideally focused on customers in tech and / or fintech. At least 1 year of experience in an early stage company and/or selling a new line of business is a plus.
Excellent project management: You’re organized, can manage all aspects of partnering with customers, and effectively work with other internal teams.
Ability to turn naysayers into champions: You’re a persuasive communicator and understand the importance of being helpful, responsive, and solutions-oriented.
Curiosity: You know what questions to ask to uncover and understand customer needs and proactively learn more about the industry, competitive landscape, and product offerings to better support your customers
A growth mindset: You’re comfortable navigating ambiguous environments and are energized by the prospect of helping build processes with little guidance
Insatiable hunger for improvement: you’re a naturally curious person, enjoy digging into the data, and regularly solicit feedback

The annual OTE range for this position is $140,000 - $220,000.
The range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation. This range may be inclusive of several career levels at Column, and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s skill sets, experience, licensure and certifications, location, and other business and organizational needs.
