Requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of standard Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
  • Physical ability to move molds and other equipment, lift 40 pounds, and stand for long periods.
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least 2 years of experience in an injection molding environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • General mathematics knowledge and the ability to calculate and solve geometric problems.
  • Ability to use and understand measuring tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to support others on the team.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours reliably.
Responsibilities
  • Provide raw material for each injection molding machine and record usage in Visual.
  • Keep material and ancillary equipment clean and free of contamination and damage.
  • Ensure hoppers, dryers, and other material-handling equipment are available and operational.
  • Perform regular maintenance on hoppers and dryers, including filters and heaters.
  • Read and interpret work orders to determine the type and quantity of material needed.
  • Perform incoming material inspections for pellet contamination and work with IMP Engineers on inspection plans.
  • Return material to the stockroom and record it in Visual.
  • Assist with machine setup and maintenance as requested.
  • Handle materials and set up Preform machines.
  • Operate injection molding machines as requested.
  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Provide support to the Maintenance Department as requested.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow ISO, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and AS9100 requirements specified in work instructions and by the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Molding Manager.
