Requirements
- Experience level: six to seven years of experience in MicroStrategy, with hands-on development and maintenance, and leadership of a MicroStrategy development team.
- Hands-on development and maintenance experience in MicroStrategy 9.3, knowledge and experience on enterprise portal integration, mobile integration, write back to source data based on analysis by business users, alerts via email and mobile based on predefined events.
- Good conceptual knowledge and working experience on metadata creation, creating report specifications, integration test planning and testing, unit test planning and testing, UAT and implementation support.
- Strong knowledge of quality processes including Software Development Life Cycle, reviews, testing, configuration management, release management, and defect prevention.
- Good communication skills and comfort in interacting directly with clients.
- Ability to interpret data models and use data modeling tools, such as ERWIN Data Modeler.
- Knowledge of new features of MicroStrategy and performance tuning.
- Strong data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analysis skills.
- Experience in working with onsite/offshore teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements, elicit technical requirements, and prepare report specifications.
- Develop reports, cubes, dashboards, and scorecards.
- Design and develop MicroStrategy reports and integrate with enterprise portals, enable mobile integration, write back to source data based on business user analysis, set up alerts via email and mobile based on predefined events.
- Have working knowledge of some relational database management systems.
- Identify and design common functionality.
- Unit and integration test the developed components.
- Promote components across development, testing, and production environments.
- Provide user acceptance testing and implementation support.
