IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an experienced, passionate editor to join our Carson Dellosa publishing team. In this role, you will edit high-quality educational workbooks and other engaging learning materials for grammar, style, text level, and clarity. You will collaborate with the in-house publishing team through all steps in the development process, including concepting, developmental and copy editing, and final reviews prior to publication.

This is a full-time position in our Greensboro, NC office.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Review educational content for spelling, punctuation, and grammar while ensuring that the content is effective, well written, engaging, accurate, and age/grade level appropriate
• Edit content for style and clarity
• Ensure content adheres to IXL’s writing guidelines and the Chicago Manual of Style
• Advise team members on style questions and maintain internal style guides
• Author new content as needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• BA/BS degree in Education, English, or a related field
• Excellent editing and writing skills
• Understanding of K-8 students’ reading and knowledge levels. Experience working with K-8 language arts, math, science, or social studies curriculum is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adjust to in-house style guidelines
• Familiarity working with the Chicago Manual of Style
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Can-do attitude with an openness to others’ ideas
• Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously
